On 6 October 2026 UQAM’s Faculty of Education announced a partnership with France’s Institut Villebonn–Georges Charpak to enroll a first cohort in a graduate microprogram on R&D of pedagogical innovations and a short program in higher‑education pedagogy.

UQAM and the Institut Villebonn–Georges Charpak (IVGC) agreed to a partnership to prepare IVGC’s teaching and support staff. The first cohort will take a graduate microprogram in research and development of pedagogical innovations and a short program in higher‑education pedagogy. Both offerings were adapted for the French audience with day courses and largely asynchronous distance delivery; curricula emphasize interculturality and professional development. Faculty from UQAM’s Department of Didactique have supported IVGC personnel since 2019. The agreement also creates opportunities for joint projects and research framed by the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
