Thierry B.-Gateau named interim co‑director and UQAM representative to Hexagram
Thierry B.-Gateau, professor in the Department of Management at ESG UQAM, was named interim co‑director and UQAM representative to Hexagram, replacing Sofian Audry who is on sabbatical. The appointment coincides with Hexagram’s pending FRQSC strategic regroupment grant renewal.
Appointed this spring as a co‑researcher, Thierry B.-Gateau brings an interdisciplinary profile across art history, literature, music and management. A faculty member at ESG UQAM and a conservatory‑trained double bassist (Université Laval, 2002), he maintains an active artistic practice and partners with UQAM’s mXlab and the Groupe de recherche sur la création médiatique au‑delà de l’humain. His interim leadership is intended to provide institutional continuity for Hexagram during a key year as it awaits the renewal of a FRQSC strategic regroupment grant.
