Associate Professor Rahul Kumar (Educational Studies, Brock) and Professor Sarah Elaine Eaton (University of Calgary) released the edited volume A Research Agenda for Artificial Intelligence and Academic Integrity, launched virtually on Oct. 21, 2026 during Academic Integrity Week (Oct. 19–23). Their award-winning research gathers scholars from six continents and reframes a planned handbook into a forward-looking research agenda addressing policy, equity and human agency in postsecondary learning. On campus, workshops led by the Centre for Pedagogical Innovation offered faculty and staff guidance on appropriate uses of generative AI, risks of over-reliance, and strategies to clarify course-specific expectations.
