Source publication : 2026-10-08 · Durham College

On 8 October 2026 Durham College outlines supports from Student Academic Learning Services (SALS) and the Access and Support Centre (ASC): tutoring, workshops, SALS ONLINE via DC Connect, and accommodations such as accommodated testing and assistive technologies.

Durham College summarizes services to help students succeed academically. SALS offers study strategy coaching, workshops and tutoring across subjects — math, physics, biology, accounting, business, academic writing and languages — plus online resources through DC Connect. The ASC arranges individualized accommodations with documentation, including accommodated testing, peer notetaking, peer coaching and assistive technology. Students who need accommodated exams may sit them at Durham’s Oshawa or Whitby Test Centres. The college encourages early engagement with these supports to build skills, confidence and academic independence.
