Fanshawe secures $34.4M federal contract to train RCAF aviation technicians

Fanshawe secured a $34.4M federal, four‑year contract to deliver a Transport Canada‑approved aviation maintenance curriculum to RCAF personnel at CFB Borden, beginning in January. Up to 282 students per year will earn civilian‑aligned credentials across accelerated programs.

Starting in January, Fanshawe College will deliver aviation maintenance training to the Royal Canadian Air Force under a $34.4‑million federal, four‑year contract. The Transport Canada‑approved curriculum will be taught at the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering at CFB Borden by instructors from Fanshawe’s Norton Wolf School of Aerospace, Information and Defence Technologies. Up to 282 RCAF students are expected to enroll annually across three programs. Two diploma programs will be accelerated (four semesters in 16 months) and the Aircraft Structural Repair Technician certificate will offer fall and winter intakes. RCAF students will also access Fanshawe academic services.
