Alyssa Vito establishes scholarship at McMaster to support graduate cancer researchers
In 2022 Alyssa Vito launched the Alyssa Vito Scholarship in Cancer Research at McMaster. The award provides financial support to graduate students in oncology and recognizes both strong research and community leadership beyond the lab.
The Alyssa Vito Scholarship in Cancer Research, established in 2022 at McMaster, supports graduate students who combine scientific excellence with community engagement. Created by a McMaster alumna who earned major graduate awards during her training, the scholarship aims to ease financial burdens and acknowledge students who communicate, mentor and lead outreach initiatives in parallel with their research. The gift highlights donor investment in training the next generation of cancer researchers on campus.
