Brock MPH graduate turns practicum into SOP to clarify oncology funding roles
Teodora Burgui (MPH ’26) completed a practicum with Niagara Health oncology teams through Brock’s Master of Public Health. Her work produced a standard operating procedure clarifying how clinical and administrative roles feed Ontario’s oncology funding model; the partnership builds on a 2019 MOU.
Teodora Burgui (MPH ’26) completed a practicum with Niagara Health oncology teams as part of Brock University’s Master of Public Health. Her project produced a standard operating procedure that outlines how clinical and administrative roles contribute to Ontario’s oncology funding model, based on interviews and observations at the cancer centre. The placement builds on a Brock–Niagara Health memorandum of understanding signed in 2019 and helped Burgui discover health systems consulting as a career path while she considers applying to dental school.
