UQAM expands Chez Manu with an intervention service for 2SLGBTQ+ people who use substances (available since mid‑Sept. 2026)

Source publication : 2026-10-15 · Université du Québec à Montréal

In mid‑September 2026 UQAM’s TRADIS chair launched an intervention component on the Chez Manu platform. Free and for adults 18+, the French‑language service provides confidential support (chat, videoconference or in‑person at UQAM’s Clinique universitaire de santé globale) delivered by supervised sexology trainees.

Building on the 2025 information module, Chez Manu now offers personalized, non‑judgmental interventions tailored to 2SLGBTQ+ people who use psychoactive substances. The service emphasizes harm‑reduction and includes an optional, voluntary research participation element. It integrates research, intervention and information, and provides supervised clinical training opportunities for undergraduate sexology students. The information resources remain online while the new component enables direct support in clinical or virtual formats at UQAM.
