UBC Okanagan Engineering Open House — Oct. 24, 2026
On October 24, 2026 (10 am–2 pm), UBC Okanagan hosts an Engineering Open House at the EMEB (1137 Alumni Avenue). Prospective students and families can explore programs, co‑op, undergraduate research, design teams and laboratory tours; faculty including Dr. Qian Chen will present AR/mixed‑reality uses in construction.
UBC Okanagan will hold an Engineering Open House on October 24, 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Engineering, Management and Education Building (1137 Alumni Avenue). Visitors can meet students, faculty and advisors, tour labs and see design teams. Programs begin with a common first year and lead to computer, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering; the Applied Science Co‑op reported ≈450 work terms in 2024/25. The School of Engineering secured $24.926 million in research funding in 2025/26. Assistant Professor Qian Chen will demonstrate 3D modelling, mixed reality and robotic prefabrication applications for construction.
