UQAM doctoral student Guillaume Pascale will present the installation Melencolia 110010100 at Octobre Numérique – Faire Monde. The piece, combining sculpture, video and programming, is on view at the Museon Arlaten in Arles from 10 October to 8 November 2026.

Doctoral candidate Guillaume Pascale (M.A. in Visual and Media Arts) stages Melencolia 110010100, an installation that renews themes from Dürer’s Melencolia I by placing an astronaut before a passing train of satellites and integrating imagery of planned data centres. Shown in this format for the first time at Octobre Numérique – Faire Monde, the work uses sculpture, video and code to probe contemporary technological imaginaries and the politics of space infrastructure. The installation will be exhibited at the Museon Arlaten in Arles from 10 October to 8 November 2026.
