Université Laval medical residency fair presents over 40 programs and draws nearly 300 students (Oct 1, 2026)
On October 1, 2026, Université Laval's Faculty of Medicine held a residency programs fair at the Ferdinand‑Vandry building. Nearly 300 students attended; more than forty residency programs, the 13 GMF‑U family medicine units and representatives of advanced competency programs were present.
Organized by the vice‑deanship for postgraduate medical studies, the fair took place on October 1 at the Ferdinand‑Vandry building in an information‑booth format. Attendees met program directors, residents and representatives from the 13 GMF‑U units to gather detailed information about residency pathways. With over forty programs represented and booths for advanced competency offerings, the event allowed students to compare training options and make professional contacts relevant to their next training steps in medicine.
