From Academic Upgrading to college application at Durham College: steps, documents and key deadlines

Source publication : 2026-10-21 · Durham College

Durham College’s practical guide to applying to college after Academic Upgrading: requirements, offers and timing.

Durham College outlines how students finishing Academic Upgrading can prepare and apply to college before final grades are posted. Applicants should confirm program/campus requirements, apply via Ontario Colleges (up to five program choices, max three per college), and ensure transcripts and any proof of enrolment or midterm marks for in‑progress courses are submitted. Offers may be regular, conditional (requiring completion of stated courses by a deadline) or alternate. The Equal Consideration date for most fall intakes is February 1; many offers must be accepted by May 1. Academic Upgrading student advisors can monitor applications and help resolve record or document issues.
