Students in Algonquin College’s Community and Justice Services program will participate in a 24‑hour experiential learning event at Minto Park, beginning at noon on Oct. 16 and ending at noon on Oct. 17, 2026. The initiative pairs public outreach with an overnight stay to deepen learners’ understanding of housing insecurity and to solicit donations. Proceeds will be split: 65% to Operation Come Home Youth Services and 35% to the CJS Emergency Student Bursary and supports. Now in its sixteenth year, the annual fundraiser has generated more than $50,000 to benefit vulnerable youth and students.
