UQAM showcases student immersion in China and readies Summer School 2027 in Dalian (15 May–5 June 2027)
UQAM is hosting an exhibition until 22 October featuring photos and student works from its China summer schools, notably the 2026 session run with Dalian Maritime University. The university notes it has offered Mandarin‑cultural summer schools since 2016 and states the 2027 Summer School will take place in Dalian from 15 May to 5 June 2027; preparations are underway.
The 'Summer Schools in China' exhibit, located in the corridor of Pavillon R (metro level), highlights immersion experiences and creative work by UQAM students, including pieces from the 2026 Dalian program organized with Dalian Maritime University. Since 2016 UQAM has offered Mandarin and sinophone cultural summer programs—past locations include Dalian, Taiwan, Wuhan and Beijing—allowing students to practice language in everyday situations, join cultural activities and extend learning beyond the classroom. UQAM confirms the next edition will run in Dalian from 15 May to 5 June 2027.
