UQAM PhD graduate Sabrina Pellerin wins ANDESE Best Thesis Prize 2026
Sabrina Pellerin, PhD graduate from UQAM’s School of Management Sciences, won the ANDESE 2026 Best Thesis Prize for research on psychological distress among first‑level managers. She received the award on 15 October 2026 during an online ceremony in Paris.
Supervised by Professor Julie Cloutier, Pellerin’s thesis examined five independent samples and identified about thirty psychosocial risk factors linked to distress in frontline managers. It highlights role tensions faced by these managers and suggests practical measures—support, flexibility and recognition—to reduce harm. The research was funded by a Fonds de recherche du Québec doctoral scholarship (Société et culture) and by a SSHRC Joseph‑Armand‑Bombardier fellowship. UQAM notes she is the first Canadian to receive this international ANDESE distinction.
