MSVU researcher wins $830,024 CIHR grant to expand CELEBRATE Feeding (2026–2030)
Dr. Jessie‑Lee McIsaac (MSVU) received $830,024 from CIHR (2026–2030) to scale CELEBRATE Feeding: coaching and an e‑learning module to promote responsive feeding in early childhood settings.
The CIHR‑funded project "Fostering Joyful Eaters through CELEBRATE Feeding" (2026–2030) was awarded $830,024 to expand coaching and an e‑learning module that teach responsive feeding practices in childcare settings. Led by Dr. Jessie‑Lee McIsaac (MSVU) with co‑lead Misty Rossiter (UPEI), the team will scale beyond an initial pilot in eight centres (Nova Scotia, PEI), measure changes in educator practice and children’s eating behaviours, and involve collaborators at University of Ottawa, Université de Montréal, Université de Moncton and University of Nebraska. The program has already delivered professional development to over 1,000 educators.
