Mount Royal’s LEAP pathway works on academic English in four levels. Passing the final level satisfies the university’s language requirement; other admission criteria continue to apply.
The institution in a few words
At Mount Royal University, the LEAP program prepares students for English language requirements and university study skills. It comprises four levels of thirteen weeks, determined by a placement test. Activities develop writing, presentations, discussion and critical reading. Workshops support speaking and academic writing. Passing LEAP Level 4 satisfies Mount Royal’s English requirement but does not replace other admission conditions for the intended program. This pathway is not for complete beginners.
