The GMAT, which is administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) on behalf of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), is a standardized test of general verbal, mathematical and analytical skills
The quantitative component of the GMAT evaluates basic mathematical skills as well as the ability to reason quantitatively, solve quantitative problems and interpret graphic date
The verbal section tests comprehension of standard written English
The analytical writing section determines the ability to think critically and communicate complex ideas
There are computer-adaptive GMAT and paper-and-pencil format of the GMAT
