OUR PROGRAMS

 Cornerstone Academic College

Cornerstone Academic College is a private language school located in the heart of downtown Toronto, Canada.  Our school is conveniently located directly above a subway station, surrounded by boutique shops, restaurants, museums, theatres, a central library and many other attractions.

OUR PROGRAMS

ESL

There are 8 levels in our ESL program from elementary to advanced.  While each level takes 2 months to complete, we offer one month certificates.  Every month starts a new session.

You can take our Intensive ESL program (27 hrs/wk) which focuses on all 5 language skills: grammar, listening, speaking, reading and writing.  Or you can take our General ESL program (20 hrs/wk) which focuses on conversational ESL and practical English.  Because each skill is a course in itself, we can isolate the area of your weakness and place you in the appropriate levels.

BRIDGE & Summer/Winter Camps

Every summer and winter we offer a 4 week summer camp or winter camp for children and teenagers of ages 8 to 17 years old.  This program includes an Intensive ESL program, cultural and extracurricular activities after class, field trips to local attractions in Toronto, and a real “summer camp” experience at a campsite in the nationally renowned park of Algonquin.  We cover all the areas a concerned parent would want in a summer program:  great teaching, lots of field trips, and great fun at camp; swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, campfires and so much more.  During the winter, the program includes activities such as ice skating, skiing, snowshoeing, attending the Christmas and New Year’s festival, and much more!  Visit our website for detailed information or call us at the college.

The Bridge program at Cornerstone is offered throughout the school year.  Each session is 4 weeks long.  The program is designed to help young students gain confidence in the English language as well as the subjects taught in Canadian schools.  Subjects such as History, Geography and Native American culture are studied in the ESL context.

OUR HOMESTAYS

We carefully select our Homestay families based on their experience, friendliness, and interest in hosting international students.  We offer private or shared homestays which include 3 meals per day.  All of our students stay at homestays, where they share daily life with a Canadian family.  The family will treat you as a member of the family and will help you adjust to the Canadian way of life!
