Our mission is to offer the best value in English as a Second Language courses that can be found anywhere. We archieve this with our small class sizes, experienced instructors, international atmosphere, and our flexible & modern curriculum, all at very competivitive rates. Since 1990, ILLC has offered ESL classes in a friendly, personal atmosphere. We offer a structured learning environment with qualified and experienced ESL instructors. ILLC offers more than 14 different ESL related calsses with 10 different levels of study to choose from, Students are offered a wide variety of activities to participate in; some during class hours, others after school and on weekends. All activities are optional. ILLC also offers an international learning environment. In the past year, we have had students from over 30 different countries attend our school. Unlike other schools, our class sizes are small, which provides more intensive learning for students who have the ambition to learn quickly. If students require accommodation, we offer homestay placement with Canadian families. IF they decide to leave their homestay, we will provide information and assistance in finding shared accommodation. In additon to homestay, we also offer dormitory-style accommodation to our students. Both the ILLC dormitory and the Student House are located just 15 minutes from the school. C-50am/pm Semi-Intensive Program
The Semi-Intensive Program is a part-time program consisting of 2.5 hours of study per day (12.5 hours per week). Students may take classes either in the morning from 9:00-11:40 (C-50am)or in the afternoon from 12:35-15:15 (C-50pm). Students can have a choice of course in Grammar, Reading & Vocabulary or Listening & Pronunciation, Conversation.
C-70 Intensive Program
The Intensive Program is a part-time program consisting of 3.5 hours of study per day (17.5 hours per week). Students can have a choice of courses in Grammar, Reading & Vocabulary or Listening & Pronunciation, Conversation.This program is available in the afternoon only from 12:35-16:30,and includes a 1-hour Computer-Based Language Training class at the end of the day.
C-100 Immersion Program
The Immersion Program is a full-time program consisting of 5 hours of study per day (25 hours per week). This program runs from 9:00-15:15. This is our basic ESL program which include 4 classes per day. It consiste of courses in Grammar, Reading & Vocabulary, Listening & Pronunciation, and Conversation.
C-120 Immersion-Plus Program
The Immersion Plus Program is a full-time program consisting of 6 hours of study per day (30 hours per week). This program runs from 9:00-16:30. Students can have a choice of courses in Grammar, Reading & Vocabulary or Listening & Pronunciation, Conversation. This program includes a 1-hour Computer-Based Language Training class at the end of the day.
TOEFL Preparation
Test of English as a Foreign Language 1 - 6 month courses designed to develop proficiency in Grammar, Vocabulary, Listening, Writing, and Computer Based Testing. All students are guaranteed 2 full-length practice tests per month.
TOEIC Preparation
Test of English for International Communication 1 - 6 month course, similar to TOEFL but with an emphasis on practical, business related English. All students are guaranteed 2 full-length practice tests per month. Official TOEIC examinations may also be taken at ILLC.
Cambridge Preparation
FCE, CAE, & CPE This comprehensive program consists of 3 levels ranging from Intermediate to Advanced. All areas of English are covered and students are guaranteed 2 full-length practice tests per month. Official Cambridge examinations may also be taken at ILLC.
Business English
Intermediate & Advanced Introduction of business-related articles, vocabulary, writing, and role-plays set in the work place. Students will gain confidence and understanding of work-place situations. A variety of audio-visual materials as well as computers are also used.
Group Tour Program
For groups of 10 or more students, we offer a wide range of exciting programs to fit your specific needs. Programs usually include a combination of English classes and activities. Packages are offered for Elementary, Junior High and High school students, as well as adults. Fees for this program vary depending on the number of activities, number of students and the length of the program.
Internship Program
The ILLC Internship Program offers professional placements with companies suited to the student\'s objectives, skill areas and local market provisions. For students without an advanced level of English, and/or a high level of experience or training, non-professional placements can also be arranged. Internships are for a minimum of 4 weeks but preferably for 12 weeks or more to a maximum of 40 weeks. Internships are considered volunteer positions and no remuneration may be offered to the student. All internship positions are arranged after the student begins their classes at ILLC.
