Mount Royal College also offers a world-class English Language program through International Education serving 3,000 students per year.
Leading edge applied degree programs, which include Business and Entrepreneurship, Communications, Industrial Ecology, Interior Design, and Nonprofit Studies, provide graduates with practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge. English as a Second Language (ESL)
ESL Preparation and ESL Levels 2 to 4 focus on listening and speaking skills useful inside and outside the classroom. We will help you to express yourself in writing and improve your reading in English. You will also learn grammar, and to improve your accuracy in speaking and writing. Starting in ESL 4, students can take a variety of high school subjects, college level courses or university transfer courses.
English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
EAP Levels 1 to 4 make up a non-credit academic preparation program. This program is for students who need to improve their English skills before entering university, college or technical school. We focus on academic reading and writing as well as more advanced grammar. We also teach listening and speaking skills useful in an academic setting. Students will regularly use computers for writing assignments.
Graduates of Level 4 in the EAP program satisfy the language proficiency requirement for diploma, university transfer and applied degree programs at Mount Royal College.
The English Language program has three, twelve-week terms a year which begin in September, January, and April. International students can apply for any of these terms by completing the English Language program application form. You must include full tuition payment. The Languages Institute also provides homestay and airport pickup service.
