Located in the famous region of Niagara Falls, Niagara College offers a wide variety of applied education and training opportunities for students, currently from over 50 countries around the world.
The college has two large campuses and has a full time enrollment of around 6000 students and part time registrations in the area of 20,000 students annually.
Niagara College boasts of its excellent, friendly and helpful staff, which is always there to assist the students. The support staff and faculty members are devoted to student well-being and their over all development. Their efforts in doing so made Niagara College # 1 college in student satisfaction.
Niagara College offers over 50 one, two and three year undergraduate and postgraduate certificate and diploma programs and four-year degree programs.
Most programs start in September and many of them also have a January intake. A lot of the programs being offered in Niagara College include practical work experience as part of their curriculum, allowing students to work in Canada and leading our graduates directly to the workplace. Upon successful graduation from undergraduate, post graduate and degree programs, international students can apply to Canada Immigration, for an extension of up to one year to work in their field of study.
Around 14 million people visit Niagara Region every year, needless to say now that the Hospitality and the Tourism industry is one of Niagara’s strengths. The Culinary management and Tourism Development programs offered in Niagara College are tailor made to suit the ever-emerging market. The college has its own four star restaurant which is open to the general public and is run and maintained by our culinary management, hotel management and chef training students, under close supervision of the head chef and the coordinators.
The college also offers the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Photonics, a four-year degree program, which is one of the only bachelor’s level photonics programs in North America.
The Employment Service Department of Niagara College, which has helped thousands of Co-op students and Niagara graduates to find employment, proudly furnished their Fall 2002 accomplishment of 98% Co-op placement.

English as a Second Language
Niagara College\'s English as a Second Language (ESL) program is designed to improve all areas of your English Language skills, so you can continue in one of our undergraduate or post-graduate programs, or return home and be able to use English in your career. Our program has been offered for over 15 years, and has about 10 students each term. All of our teachers have their Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) degree.
Your ESL adventure is about to begin in a friendly, flexible environment that is designed to offer lots of individual attention. The Niagara College English as a Second Language program will provide you with the best opportunity to improve your English and at the same time help you experience, understand and enjoy Canadians and our culture.
The ESL Program is taught at the Welland Campus. This campus is ideally located in a residential area, close to restaurants, shops and nice single family homes. Many of the homes are part of our Homestay program allowing all of our homestay students to live within walking distance of your school.
Welland is a small, safe and friendly city. The Welland Campus sits on over 100 acres of land and has about 3000 students studying there every year.

Those students seeking employment after graduation are able to demonstrate entry level competencies in computer applications for graphic design and pre-press processes, screen print preparation and production, and air brush techniques for illustration and signage.
Those wishing to further their art and design education have the opportunity to produce a comprehensive portfolio with which to apply for more advanced programs and areas of specialization at other educational institutions.

PLUS
Up to 950 hours of design studio and production work.
Many graduates pursue advanced or specialized art and design education in Canada and the United States.
Graduates are awarded 60 credits towards a Bachelor of Professional Arts (Communications) degree at Athabasca University.
Business Administration – Accounting
Career Opportunities
This program is designed for those who seek a career as a professional accountant or a financial manager. Our graduates have found employment working as:
financial and cost accountants
budget analysts general accountants office managers
assistant controllers and income tax auditors internal auditors
management trainees in banking and other business sectors.
Accounting students rely heavily on their computer skills as they work through case studies, computer assisted models and other learning tools.
Accreditation
Diploma in Business Administration – Accounting (Co-op)
including up to 12 months of paid co-op work experience OR in Business Administration – Accounting (Academic).
Certification
Upon graduation, the student has the opportunity to obtain nine full and three partial CGA (Certified General Accountant) course exemptions. Graduates can achieve the professional accounting designation of CGA (Certified General Accountant) within two to three years of part-time study following graduation. While working towards the BA - Accounting diploma, students are also earning exemptions from this professional accounting association.
Students have the opportunity to:
Receive 66+ credits towards a Bachelor of Administration degree at Athabasca University.
Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, and Northwood University in Midland, Michigan, recognize our program and allow a smooth transition for Niagara College Business Administration graduates to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree.
Transfer to Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, after graduation and complete the Bachelor of Administration program after one year of study or the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program after two years of additional study.
Pursue the Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation which offers transition into its program of professional studies. Registration in the CGA also allows a student to complete a degree with the University of Calgary.
Computer Programmer
Career Opportunities
The Computer Programmer and Computer Programmer Analyst programs are designed to ensure the success of our graduates in today\'s dynamic computer environment with a unique blend of business computer expertise and technical training. Graduates may find success in either a large scale computer department or in a small operation utilizing microcomputers and networks. The ever-expanding use of computers ensures a steady supply of entry-level positions.

Diploma in Computer Programmer PLUS up to 350 hours of hands-on lab experience.
Enhance qualification with a third year of studies in a post-graduate program or continue to earn a Diploma in Computer Programmer Analyst (Co-op) PLUS up to 550 hours of hands-on lab experience and four months of paid co-op work experience.
