Science & Technology Programs
If you have a knack for creativity, problem-solving and communication, consider studies in science and technology. It’s a rapidly growing field around the world as countries rely on technological advancement and other innovations to keep their competitive edge. Industry, government and other sectors are always seeking well-trained, bright thinkers to help propel developments in this field. It’s an exciting sector – the work of researchers, scientists and engineers often leads to new medicines, technologies and tools.
Canada is an excellent place to pursue studies in science and technology. Canada has remained on the technological map in recent years for a variety of innovations, including DNA sampling, hydrogen fuel cells, the BlackBerry™ (a wireless handheld device), drugs for treating AIDS, and genome sequencing.
Canadian schools offer excellent science and technology programs at the undergraduate or graduate level. Programs will appeal to a variety of interests. You can study a traditional science discipline such as biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, health science, life science or nursing. There are also many programs in engineering, information technology and other technology-related disciplines.
Explore the opportunities available. You could find yourself working in astronomy, aeronautics, telecommunications, food technology, manufacturing, the music industry, art restoration, sports science and more.
