University, college, vocational, secondary and language programs serve different goals. A familiar school name does not establish whether a particular campus or program fits your project.

Manitoba's universities and colleges offer the education and training needed to participate in today's competitive job market and to succeed in professional and personal life.
Among Manitoba’s range of program options students will definitely find one that meets their educational and career aspirations. From agriculture through zoology, Manitoba has hundreds of programs to choose from.
Our universities offer undergraduate, graduate, pre-professional and professional degree programs in a broad range of disciplines. Students have access to current information technology as well as state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities.
Brandon University provides a comprehensive undergraduate education, plus graduate programs in education, music and rural development. Small classes and accessible faculty contribute to a supportive learning experience.
Le collège universitaire de Saint Boniface offers bachelor’s degrees in arts, sciences, commerce, education and translation and master’s degrees in education and Canadian studies. CUSB is a dynamic institution where all classes are taught in French.
The University of Manitoba offers 66 different undergraduate and graduate degree programs in arts, sciences and professional studies. In the past 30 years, the U of M has produced more Rhodes Scholars than any other university in western Canada.
The University of Winnipeg is a medium-sized university with degree programs in arts, sciences, education and pre-professional studies. In 2001-2002, the U of W was ranked as the top undergraduate university in western Canada and among the top five in all of Canada.
Two private institutions, Providence College and the Canadian Mennonite University, provide opportunities to pursue degrees in unique learning environments.
Manitoba’s colleges offer certificate and diploma programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical training and work experience. Our colleges work with industry to produce highly skilled graduates who are well prepared to find employment locally or around the world.
Assiniboine Community College offers a range of one-year certificate and two-year diploma programs in agriculture and rural enterprise, trades, business, tourism, computer and information technologies and health and human services. Small classes mean that instructors are able to provide individual attention to help you succeed.
At l’école technique et professionnelle students can choose from seven applied diploma programs: business administration, computer analyst/programmer, early childhood education, health care aide, multimedia communications, office management, tourism and nursing. All programs are offered in French.
The University College of the North responds to the needs of Manitoba’s northern communities. Certificate, diploma and degree programs are available in management and technology, renewable resources, eco-tourism, trades, Aboriginal studies and health and community services.
Red River College of Applied Arts, Science and Technology is Manitoba’s largest college. It offers nationally and internationally recognized certificate, diploma, and joint degree programs in applied arts, applied sciences, business, industrial technology, community services, developmental education and health as well as the latest high-tech programs in communications, digital multimedia and computer technology.
In addition to the above opportunities, international students are able to work off-campus in Canada during their studies and remain in the country for employment purposes for up to two years after graduation.
