Founded in 1963, Red Deer College has over 6,000 full and part-time students. Red Deer is a beautiful and safe city of 70,000 people. We're located directly between Calgary and Edmonton, only a little more than an hour away from two international airports. Red Deer is close enough to the Rocky Mountains for day trips to world class skiing, hiking, white water rafting and other outdoor activities. Red Deer College offers a broad range of university transfer, applied degree, diploma, career certificate and trades programs. The College also has several baccalaureate degree completion programs in collaboration with universities. The degree completion programs, through the University of Alberta, University of Calgary and Athabasca University, allow students to complete their entire degree while living in Red Deer. On-campus offerings include excellent programs in the health services sector, an applied degree in Motion Picture Arts, and high quality university transfer and degree completion programs in the Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Commerce and Science. The Arts Centre is a state-of-the-art facility that includes the Main Stage, a 575 seat theatre/concert hall. Motion Picture Arts, Theatre Studies, Music, and Costume Cutting are some of the programs found here. Red Deer College enjoys an unparalleled reputation for academic excellence and student satisfaction. Our classes are small. Most certificate and diploma courses have about 32 students. In the university transfer program, first year courses usually have between 60 and 80 students, while second to fourth year courses range from 8 to 25. The new Library Information Common is bigger and better than ever, providing access to a large collection of books, journals and audiovisual materials. The Library has 165 interactive computers and meeting space for student study groups.Site d’origine · Document historique
