Students of the School of English are given a general placement test on the first day of the course for placement in one of the five levels of ESL (beginner through advanced). TOEFL Preparation

The TOEFL Preparation Course is available to both the general public and School of English students at the intermediate or advanced level. This course prepares students for the types of questions they will encounter on the TOEFL test. While students can obtain information about the test from the School of English office, all arrangements for taking it must be made individually. Please note that this course is supplementary to the core intensive English course.
Pronunciation and Conversation

We provide analysis of students\' pronunciation and intonation. Then we work in the language lab and in classes on ways to improve students\' speech. The classes emphasize individual practice and feedback, but students will also put their speaking into practice through role plays and dialogues. Please note that this course is supplementary to the core intensive English course.
