Choose a study pathway
Start with the qualification and skills you want to gain. Compare the subject, teaching language, delivery format and location before choosing an institution.
University, college, vocational, secondary and language programs serve different goals. A familiar school name does not establish whether a particular campus or program fits your project.
- Write down your goal
- Compare at least three programs
- Check the institution’s own admission pages

Fleming College, located in the scenic Kawarthas tourist region, offers international students the opportunity to experience Canada at its best. Our small friendly communities, set in rolling hills and close to lakes, skiing and hiking trails allow students to study and live in a safe, secure environment. The nearby city of Toronto offers adventures of a different kind - The CN Tower, Canada's Wonderland, Toronto SkyDome and many cultural experiences.
With campuses in Peterborough, Lindsay, Haliburton and Cobourg, we provide over 70 world-class, two- and three-year programs in Business Administration, Applied Arts, Computers, Engineering Technology, Legal Administration, Community Services, Fine Arts, Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. Students wishing to study these programs will require TOEFL 525(pbt)/197(cbt) or equivalent, and must possess a secondary school diploma. Upon completion of your program, you may turn your diploma into a degree through one of our many agreements with local, national, and international universities.
For those students who require it, we also offer English as a Second Language instruction at our Peterborough Campus, with start dates beginning in September, January and May. Classes are offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Students at the advanced level may enhance their language instruction with attendance in post-secondary classes, either for credit or as a listening student.
The International Office is happy to assist you with your stay in Canada. We can help you with accommodation (host family, residence or apartment), counselling, orientation to the college and community and transportation requirements.
