Estabelecido pelo Governo de Ontário em 1967 como um estabelecimento de ensino superior de Artes e Tecnologia Aplicada. O Conestoga College está localizado no Canadá no \"Triângulo Tecnológico\", que abrange as cidades de Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge e Guelph. Este programa é planejado para estudantes internacionais que necessitam melhoramentos na linguagem Inglesa antes de cursarem o programa selecionado da faculdade. Conestoga está situado em uma das lindas paisagens de Ontário caracterizado por uma mistura maravilhosa de florestas, morros ondulantes, regiões despovoadas e glebas de terras cultivadas e epitorescas. O viçoso campo principal de 144 acres é localizado 120 quilômetros oeste de Toronto e 150 quilômetros de Niagara Falls e os EUA. Boas compras, comida excelente e restaurantes, festivais coloridos e feiras, e uma herança Germânica faz com que a região seja altamente atraente para se visitar. ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa
Bem-vindo ao programa de ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa no Conestoga College localizado em Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontário, Canadá.
O programa de ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa foi desenvolvido para o aprendiz internacional que:
-deseja adquirir habilidades da Língua Inglesa para o estudo inicial de programas em tempo integral no Conestoga College ou em outras Faculdades Canadenses ou nas Universidades
ou
-deseja estudar a Língua Inglesa para a sua melhora pessoal
ou
-deseja um bom domínio da Língua Inglesa com o propósito de negócios
Enquanto se familiariza com as práticas de negócios Canadenses e a sociedade, o programa de ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa proporcionará ao estudante os benefícios adicionais por ter sido introduzido aos ensinamentos Canadenses e métodos de aprendizagem.
Aceitação pelo Conestoga College no seu mais de sessenta programas de diploma e programas de certificado, requer pré-requisitos necessários para o programa de estudo escolhido e um resultado de TOEFL com 550 (com o TWE de 4,5) ou uma comprovação equivalente de proficiência da língua Inglesa para este nível. Aqueles estudantes que não possuirem as habilidades da língua Inglesa sentirão que o programa de ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa será o melhor caminho para o aprendizado.
Indivíduos amadurecidos ou empresesários irão também aprovar que o programa do Conestoga de ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa é o bastante apropriado para suas necessidades. O programa fornecerá ao estudante a proficiência necessária do Inglês para as comunicações pessoais do dia a dia e dos negócios.
Cada estudante que não tiver comprovação do resultado de 550 do TOEFL (com TWE de 4,5) ou uma certificação equivalente terá que passar por um teste ao chegar a Faculdade, e dependendo dos resultados do teste e da consulta com um orientador acadêmico, será colocado no nível inicial apropriado do ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa. Existem quatro níveis de estudo.
Os primeiros dois níveis são os centros comuns do programa ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa e são pré-requisitos de todos. Estes níveis abrangem comunicação, gramática, conversação, audição, compreensão, habilidades de leitura e de escrita.
Para os estudantes que estão aprendendo o Inglês para propósitos acadêmicos, níveis 3 e 4, terão habilidades em leitura e escrita, audição acadêmica, elaboração de anotações e gramática comunicativa. Além do que, o estudante registrado para o aprendizado de Inglês para o propósito acadêmico, terá permissão de adquirir até dois créditos acadêmicos de um programa de estudo que ele(a) deseja seguir. Uma vez completado o nível 4 com sucesso, o estudante terá alcançado os requesitos de Inglês para os programas da Faculdade.
Para os estudantes que não pretendem cursar estudos pós-secundários, mas desejam adquirir habilidades da língua Inglesa para a sua melhora pessoal ou afins de negócio, os níveis 3 e 4 abrangerão a conversação avançada, pronunciação e gramática comunicativa, compreensão auditória, habilidades de leitura e de escrita.
Estudantes podem iniciar o programa de ESL / Estudo da Língua Inglesa em Janeiro, Maio ou Setembro.

ACCOUNTING
Business Administration Accounting is one of five Business Administration programs at Conestoga College. The others specialize in Financial Planning, Management Studies, Marketing and Materials Management. All Conestoga Business Administration programs, and the two year General Business program, share a similar first year curriculum, which not only provides you with a solid foundation in business, but also affords you the opportunity to transfer.
As a student in this diploma program, you will study in the Centre for Business Education at the Doon Campus. You will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to start your career in an intermediate accounting position. Advanced financial accounting, managerial skills, and cost accounting systems and controls are emphasized.
You will learn computer skills in up to date labs, gaining familiarity with current versions of software used in business software such as Microsoft Office Suite, ACCPAC Plus and ACCPAC Simply Accounting.
FINANCIAL PLANNING
This program provides the financial planning knowledge to prepare students for careers in the financial services sector, which includes banking, trust, insurance, investment funds, brokers and financial planning. Students are required to attempt the Canadian Securities Institute examinations. Successful completion of the Canadian Securities course, the Professional Financial Planning course, and the Wealth Management course with the Canadian Securities institute will allow students to acquire the professional designation F.M.A. (Financial Management Advisor). Successful completion of the program and successful completion of the three (3) Canadian Securities Institute courses will allow students to challenge the C.F.P. (Certified Financial Planner) final examination.
MARKETING
Marketing is a high-growth area. Marketing skills are applied daily in all areas - business, industry, government and service organizations.
Business Administration - Marketing is one of five Business Administration programs at Conestoga College. The others specialize in Accounting, Financial Planning, Management Studies and Materials Management. All Conestoga Business Administration programs, and the two-year General Business program, share a similar first-year curriculum, which not only provides you with a solid foundation in business, but also affords you the opportunity to transfer.
As a student in this diploma program, you will study in the Centre for Business Education at the Doon Campus. Computer Programmer
Gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes you need to be a programmer in a business-oriented, computer environment. The program focuses on an object-oriented approach, effective communications, and the use of current technology. Support courses are provided which enhance the student\'s general knowledge in such areas as mathematics, accounting and communications. Problem solving skills are developed using a variety of computer languages. Web based hardware and software is explored in order to fully appreciate the complexities of the Internet world, with specific emphasis on web based applications. The development of computerized solutions to common business problems is stressed throughout the program. In the final semester, small groups design and implement an E-commerce Business Application for use by companies in the region.
Graphic Design
Study two-dimensional traditional design techniques, including letterform, typography, photography, and rendering and illustration. Learn printing production procedures, client presentation techniques and business practices. In year one students study traditional techniques and introduction to electronic design methods
In years two and three traditional design skills are integrated with advanced computer design techniques. Extensive practical work in graphic design lab is featured.

Effective January 1, 2005, a baccalaureate in nursing will be the minimum requirement for nursing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Conestoga College, Mohawk College and McMaster University are working together to meet this new requirement.
Through this consortium arrangement, Conestoga College offers new nursing curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.N.) degree.
Students accepted to Conestoga\'s Nursing Program will take all four years of study at the Doon Campus in Kitchener. Graduates of the program will receive a degree from McMaster University
Paramedic
In the Paramedic program, you will gain the skills and knowledge to practice emergency pre hospital medical care. As an integral member of the health care team assisting victims of accident or illness, safely transporting patients, and, if needed, continuing emergency treatment after arrival at a health care centre.
At the College, clinical placement at a hospital and through field placement with an ambulance service, you will learn to assess emergency patient care needs, based on factors such as condition, severity, age, stress and anxiety. Effective communication skills are emphasized so that you will be able to function productively with patients, bystanders and other members of the health care team. You will also learn the rules and procedures for the safe operation and maintenance of an emergency vehicle.
If you are unsure of your career goal, or would like to improve your academic level and chances of success prior to entering Paramedic, you may want to consider the General Arts and Science program Health Option.
Note: this is an oversubscribed program and students living outside of Ontario are not eligible.

The Integrated Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (IAMT) program is a new four year Applied Degree that offers over 3000 hours of applied learning and practical projects. It is geared to motivated individuals looking for challenging careers in the dynamic and growing advanced manufacturing industry.
The IAMT program combines up-to-date theory with practical hands-on training and real world experience. It offers the best of conventional classroom delivery with applied projects, industrial case studies, and co-op work terms. Throughout the four years of study, students will also apply their acquired technical skills to relevant business issues. Graduates of the program will be prepared to assume leadership roles in the critical manufacturing disciplines of product design, process design, process control, and business.
