APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR A STUDY PERMIT: |

Malaysian students should apply at least 4 weeks (for non-Malaysians at least 2 months) before their planned date of departure to Canada. |

Your should submit your completed application forms and required documentation to the High Commission of Canada (HCC) from Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 11:30am; Monday to Thursday, 1:30pm to 3:30pm. |

All documents (with the exception of Malaysian birth/marriage certificates) should be in English or French. |
4. |
After submission of your completed application and documents, the HCC will notify you by email if additional documents or an interview is required. |
5. |
When your application has been processed, HCC will email you to let you know if a medical examination is required and to collect the medical examination form. |
6. |
Upon receiving the medical form, you are advised to proceed immediately with your medical check-up. On completing your medical check-up, please instruct the clinic to courier (not post) the medical report. |
7. |
Once your medical report has been cleared, the HCC will email you for the final step of submitting your original passport and any previously used passport. |
8. |
Students choosing to study in the province of Quebec, will be required to apply for the 'Certificat d' Acceptation du Quebec' (CAQ) before applying for the Study Permit. |
